Chef Dorian is the first African American female winner in the show’s history. Chef Dorian is also the oldest contestant to win MasterChef. Chef Dorian specializes in elevating southern food without losing that traditional southern taste. She was a finalist on “The Great Soul Food Cookoff” on OWN & Discovery+. She has also appeared on Beat Bobby Flay on Food Network. Chef Dorian has also been featured in numerous print and on-line publications, along with TV appearances on local TV news stations across the country.
She self-published her cookbook “Not Your Average Southern Sides Chick” which is a narrative of her extraordinary life, expressed through her favorite Southern side dishes. The book beautifully intertwines flavorful recipes with personal anecdotes, showcasing the various aspects of her journey towards becoming a distinguished chef.
