Ingredients:

  • 15 full chicken wings, cleaned and uncut
  • 1 tsp salt White pepper to taste
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 heaped tbsp crushed garlic Oyster sauce (to taste)
  • Soy sauce (to taste)
  • Chinese rice wine (to taste) Sesame oil (to taste)
  • Olive oil (to taste)
  • 1 egg
  • Cornstarch
  • All-purpose flour
  • Sunflower oil for deep frying

Instructions:

1. Marination:

  • In a bowl, combine chicken wings with salt, white pepper, sugar, chicken bouillon powder, and crushed garlic.
  • Drizzle with oyster sauce, soy sauce, Chinese rice wine, sesame oil, and olive oil.
  • Mix thoroughly using a spoon or by hand.
  • Crack in one egg and mix again.
  • Add cornstarch to thicken the marinade, forming a batter.
  • Marinate for 1 hour or up to 2 days in the refrigerator.

2. Coating:

  • Before frying, mix the marinated wings again in the bowl.
  • Coat each wing thoroughly with all-purpose flour until no wetness remains.
  • Place coated wings on a tray.

3. Frying:

  • Preheat sunflower oil in a deep fryer or large pot over high heat.
