Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms, a Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
The firm discovered the problem via internal testing of their products. No illnesses have been reported to date. Consumers who have this product in their possession should not consume the product and should discard it. They may visit any Sam’s Club for a full refund.
