SUMMARY:Brewed at Altitude: A Beer Lover's History of Colorado
DESCRIPTION:A river of beer runs through Colorado’s history!\n\n\nA river of beer runs through Colorado’s history. \nIt started flowing during the gold rush\, when saloons were much more than just a place to grab a drink. They were post offices\, restaurants\, hotels\, social clubs\, union halls\, and more. But then\, Colorado banned alcohol—four years before Prohibition hit the rest of the country—and a state born in a saloon ran dry for almost twenty years. Beer led the way back\, and by the 1970s\, brewing was big business again—really big business. Now\, homebrewers have gone pro\, and Colorado is one of the best places in the world to grab a brew. Join historians Sam Bock and Jason Hanson on a tour of Colorado history as seen through a pint glass. More than just a tale of ale\, this is Colorado’s story—told over a few beers. \nAbout the presenters: \nSam Bock is History Colorado’s director of interpretation and publications and hails from that hub of homebrew\, Boulder\, Colorado. He was the lead exhibition developer for Beer Here! Brewing the New West\, a museum tour of Colorado’s history with a beer in hand. He’s the author of numerous articles about Colorado’s hoppy history\, and conducted his graduate work in history at the University of Colorado\, Boulder. \nJason L. Hanson is the Chief Creative Officer at History Colorado. He has written and lectured about brewing history in a variety of publications and venues\, and co-authored A Ditch in Time: The City\, The West\, and Water. When it comes to beer\, he believes in being an aficionado\, not a connoisseur—a lover\, not a snob.

SUMMARY:30th Annual Zoo La-La! A Taste of San Antonio\, Presented by Higginbotham
DESCRIPTION:All inclusive 21+ night at San Antonio Zoo: 50+ top restaurants\, beer and wine\, plus Tag Team and Digital Underground! Don’t miss out!\n\n\nSan Antonio Zoo presents the 30th Annual Zoo La-La! A Taste of San Antonio\, Presented by Higginbotham \nLimited time offer: $25 off Early Bird General Admission. \nThree decades of San Antonio’s most anticipated night\, and we’re celebrating bigger than ever! This 21+ all-inclusive extravaganza transforms the zoo into the city’s ultimate after-dark playground\, where bold flavors\, drinks\, and pure fun collide. \nFor one incredible night\, indulge in unlimited bites from 50+ premier San Antonio restaurants\, free-flowing beer\, wine\, and live entertainment at every turn. From the first taste to the last dance\, Zoo La-La! is designed to surprise\, delight\, and keep you coming back for more. \nUpgrade to VIP! VIP guests enjoy exclusive early entry at 6:00 p.m.\, access to two private VIP areas\, and elevated perks throughout the night. Step inside the air-conditioned Hippo Viewing in Africa Live! for a face-to-face moment with world-famous Timothy the hippo\, sip signature cocktails\, sample premium bites\, and take advantage of private bathrooms for a more comfortable\, elevated Zoo La-La! experience. \n’90s Hip-Hop Royalty Takes the StageTag Team is bringing the house down with the anthem that launched a million parties. You know it. You love it. “Whoomp! (There It Is)” went platinum for a reason. It’s impossible not to move when this Atlanta duo hits the stage. Since 1993\, they’ve turned stadiums\, clubs\, and now San Antonio Zoo into one massive celebration. Their energy is infectious\, their vibe is pure fun\, and when that beat drops\, everyone becomes part of the party. \nThen Digital Underground takes over with the funk-infused hip-hop that changed the game. These Bay Area legends gave us “The Humpty Dance\,” one of the most iconic\, impossible-to-sit-down-to tracks in music history. They introduced the world to Tupac and blended Parliament-Funkadelic grooves with hip-hop innovation to create a sound that’s instantly recognizable. Their live shows are legendary. Think costume changes\, crowd interaction\, and a stage presence that turns spectators into participants. This isn’t just a performance. It’s a full-blown throwback experience that pairs perfectly with San Antonio’s best food and drinks. \nThis is more than just an incredible night out. Every ticket supports San Antonio Zoo and its mission to protect wildlife and the places they live. So grab your crew\, bring your appetite\, and get ready to dance like it’s 1993\, all while supporting a mission that matters.
